Burned my finger at work tonight. Managed to stick it in the grease. That an splashed grease on my middle finger as well.
Everytime I burn myself (for what ever reason) I grab a dill pickle slice or more an slap it on there. seems to take the heat right out. cept one the othernight I didnt pickle it an it blistered.
So tonight I grabbed a handfull of pickles an held around it an they heated right up. so I changed pickles an then just kept running cold water over it as often as I could. Also applied pressure onna pressure point for pain.
This was somewhere around 9 tonight. Now it feels almost normal cept for tenderness around the nail bed, and light tenderness along the first two digits.
So I aint sure what all transpired. Did the pickle juice do all that. or was it a combination of stuff? Pickle juice/accupressure/cold water. Oh and I would elevate it when it throbbed.
Soooo maybe Mamafrog should smear dill pickles on Cupcake next time she gets burned.

omg...sounds like the possibility of another strange pic of cupcake.....this I would have to see! Mamafrog let us know if cupcake blisters anytime soon! lol!!! Can't you just see it now?

I dont think Cupcake is burned right now. Its just that she does that at least once a year.

Ok, you have pickles,,,aka,,,vinegar.
Pickles are also cold. Hm, you might have something there Hilly.
Oh by the way, putting your finger in the grease does not make the food taste better.
I have scars on my left, lower arm, that will never go away.
One on the inside of my right arm too.

I am sorry that you got burnt Uncle Hillbilly, maybe you will be more careful from now on, but I haven't been burnt this year real bad  So, the use of pickles is not required for me ;D But, the next time that I am I will make sure to lay pickles all over me and then take a picture to post on here for you spyder  Hopefully there won't be a NEXT time! |

WHEN I WAS A KID AND ALWAYS GOT SUNBURNED MY MOM WOULD RUB WHITE VINEGAR ALL OVER ME IT WAS NOT TOO PLEASANT TO SMELL BUT I USALLY NEVER BLISTERED WHEN SHE DID SO I GUESS THE VINEGAR IN THE PICKLE JUICE MUST HAVE HELPED YOUR BURN HILLBILLY I HOPE CUPCAKE DON'T GET BURNED ANYMORE BUT IF SHE DOES THEN I WILL HELP MAMAFROG POUR VINEGAR ALL OVER HER AND SEE IF IT WORKS FOR HER ( KINDA LIKE A SCIENCE EXPERIMENT) SHE CAN BE OUR GUIENNA PIG
