Lately, I have been cooking lots of beans. Used to turn my nose up at them but something about the unemployment line changes your out look. Now I cook them all the time, they are cheap and I really like them.. I am on the pinto bean and ham kick now which I am cooking today, a big pot lasts me several days .

"Well I have come up with a few ways. Instead of buying chicken breast that is deboned and skinless. I buy the whole split breast and do it my self. Then I put the bonnes, and the skin into a vacuum pack bag. When I have enough I boil it and make the stock for my chicken & dumplins for when we have fried chicken Works really good. Any one else got any tips??"
The price of chicken is UNGODLY especially breasts. I love dark meat it's cheap and I don't eat white but my daughter and husband do. SO, I love the buy one get one free specials. But now I just buy a whole chicken (about $5.00) and bake it so everyone gets a part of what they like. Then, with what is leftover I boil it and make homemade chicken noodle soup with lots of garlic and fresh carrots and it anyone says it's not therapeutic then they haven't eaten my soup!

"I need a cook and lots of money" Well move your ass to Dallas here and you'll have one outta the two. I too love beans I could eat ranch style ones every day. I love pinto's and ham with LOTS of tabsco.....I am hungry now! It's so hard to feed a family of four on less than $150.00 a week (that's including toilet paper, shampoo, soap powder and non-food items) even watching sales and clipping coupons and budgeting.

He says, "well, I'll tell ya. Ya finds sumthin they dont like and feed em lots of it."

I'm afraid they still have some growing to do. The youngest is only 15 so he has quite a few years yet to grow... They are almost too tall for parts of this ole trailor already.. And heaven forbid they should start fighting or wrestling around... I have to send them outside then!!! Sorry HB Haven't found anything they really don't like... They eat like horses ! And if it is something they really like then it is usually gone is a day or two... Got them outside right now sawing wood and splitting it for their supper The eldest runs the chain saw and the youngest splits the wood.

"Sorry HB Haven't found anything they really don't like"
LOL Snow! Well, all that wood chopping will buid their muscles....but the bad thing about it, it will make them really hungry! There were 5 of us kids when I was growing up, and we ate a lot of beans and taters, corn bread and slice of onion. I still love brown beans..but the onions don't like me.

I don't know what it is but since I moved to Texas I LOVE the hot sauce, onions, peppers, especially szechuan. Took me 10 years nearly to get to wear I like jalapenos but now I can't eat enough of them if I get the chance. Onions raw on everything too but yeah Spyder they don't like me very well either I just still keep on eathing them. My daughter is picky. Won't eat anything with butter on it (it it if I don't tell her) or cheese. Hell, those are food groups to me.
