Well May is already here. Finally getting a little dry ground around here. My beans and summer squash and sweet peas are coming up. Got my purple hull peas and more shelly beans planted yesterday in the south garden.
Went for another MRI this morning, this time on my back and spine. Ankle is still swollen and hurts from the fall last Thursday.

North garden is looking good. Got my maters and bell peppers planted finally. Butternut squash came up skippy some hills never came up so gonna replant those over the weekend. South garden is a losing battle so far. It won't dry up. Those rows I planted on the 2nd well the 3rd it came that 5 inches of rain and washed it down to the Mississippi River. Got out there yesterday and ran the middles out, still rolled mud in spots, so today I got out there and tried to cover the seeds that were showing and replanted a lil bit. I did go over to the last row and worked it and got my sweet taters planted. Waiting now on some solider bean seeds to come thru the mail.

South garden is doing better, the beans and peas are finally coming up. I did go back yesterday and do a lil spot planting where some of the beans had rotted in the ground. So all in all things are looking good. Put the ammonina nitrate to the north garden yesterday and then the rain last night. It may be knee high out there this morning. Red potatoes are podding, getting ready to bloom. ;D

Finally got all the south garden planted. The last 3 rows hubby planted with my close supervision. Trying something new this year a lady sent me some seeds of. They are called Pink Banana Squash. A winter type squash, suppose to get big. Guess we will see what happens with them. Taters look like a flower garden with all the blooms in the tops. I wanna dig out there so bad and see how big they are getting but for now just gonna have to wait til this foot gets better. Both gardens are doing good. Got mater blooms, sweet peas are blooming, everything is growing and doing great so far. Got my sweet taters planted a couple of weeks ago and they are taking off and growing. Flowers are blooming and just trying to keep up with everything to do. What I use to do in 2 hours now takes me all day so it's a challenge right now.

We got around 5 inches from Monday thru Wednesday here. Water was still standing in the south garden yesterday. Sure has been a hard year trying to garden. Naw I'm not to interested in falling anymore. I hurt all over more than anywhere else. Heading to 2 different doctors today. Hoping for good news from both.
