Micro Combined Heat & Power (CHP) is the simultaneous production of heat and electricity in individual homes. Effectively the micro CHP unit replaces the gas central heating boiler and provides heat and hot water as usual, but additionally provides the majority of the home's electricity needs. It is anticipated that, ultimately, micro CHP may provide 20% or so of the UK's electricity generating capacity, more than is currently obtained from nuclear power. www.microchap.info/A new way of gettin the most outta the resources. I dont know much about this yet. Cept they're using Stirling engines. Which have been around for lotsa years. I'll havta read more on this sometime.

As I understand it, It's great for fall/winter as it creates heat during operation. Most shut them down during the hotter part of the year..
It's great technology but heatin' the house in the summer is a bummer..
