Most people don't know that peppers love alot of light even reflected light! Plant you peppers near a white fence or place something that reflects light under the pepper. I have some white bricks but today I tried something new. I spred white sand under all my peppers and I think it will work big time and even keep some of the weeds down and the slugs won't go near sand!

excellent idea, you are right about the light too. another thang you can do is use Equisetum tea, thats horsetail, take a couple handfulls, chop and bruise them some, add to a quart of warm water ..in a glass or plastic bowl, and let it steep for a couple hours...equisedum contains silica, silica will cause your leaves to absorb more sunlight, causing increased photosynthesis
