Oh Joy Muzzle loader hunting

Thought I would share with you my great hunting adventure ... I was talked into going muzzleloader hunting with hubby today.. Well it was kinda warm and he said I wouldn't need much by way of warm clothes but I know me. So I donned my long john bottoms, long sleved shirt, and hoodie along with my camo coat. We took the 4 wheeler up on the hill ( he was bein nice so I wouldn't have to walk in the mud) We were just going to the blind instead of hiking ( which is good cause it started raining when we got to the top of the hill) walked up to the blind, got settled in, ( I brought a book YEAH !!) sat there about 20 min trying to read, but it was kinda dark... So for the next 2 and a half hours I sat there and stared at nothin..... I was starting to get really cold, from not moving. Hubby said I have no patience. ( hmm lets see I am in a 6x6 blind, with hubby, not seeing anything except a squirrell. and freezin my butt off So then it really started pooring the rain down, and we came home in the rain. needless to say I now remember why I don't go deer hunting....

;D Just think of all the quality time you are not sharing with him when you stay behind in the warm indoors. ;D A little sports heater will keep a deer blind warm and doesn't bother the deer any.. A latern under a 5 gal metal bucket will also work well. Just drill some 1/2 inch holes around the bottom sides about 2 in from the bottom and again around the top sides about 2 in from the top..Makes a right handy heating stove.Put coffee in metal cup and keep it hot.....Can even heat up sandwiches wrapped in foil.

I made a deal with him... If he don't ask me to go muzzleloader hunting with him I won't ask him help me can any of the deer meat I think I am getting the better end of the deal ;D

Well he cleaned the muzzy and put her to bed I think he is done and not gonna try over the next coupla days.. Gonna rain all day tomorrow and froday.... Oh well there is always next year...

I'd bout let ya hava tame deer ta butcher. I'll even give it a reindeer name if that wud help. ;D

LOL If iwas a tame deer I don;t think I could butcher it and eat it ! LOL
