I've heard several guys talkin bout catchin cats an crappie on th good days. Numbers usually low. Looks like my new raincoat was a good investment! As usual, it appears th Corps of Engineers will be playin god with Truman Lake this spring. This backs up an screws up th rivers an creeks here in th tail-water region. A lotta work went inta makin crappie beds outa Christmas trees in good places since th dam went in. As usual they are now far too deep under water ta benefit even th crappie. Last year, or maybe th year before, th limit on bluecat was cut from 10 daily to 5 daily. Funny how th numbers were sufficient fer decades with Nature in control. I really don't see how we maintain a fishery at all with th water fluctuations we have all thru th nesting season ever year!
