Last night my buddy ridge and I went out to one of our local ponds for a few hours, we caught a few little bullheads but nothing big, and not one channel. Had a great time sitting and waiting while we visited.

Me and a feller I hadnt seen in a long spell went last night and hadda a good time catchin up on stuff. Was the only thing we caught, cuz sure wasnt any fish biting. Not even turtles or gar.

ridge and I went out last Sat, he got one little bully and a softshell about 12 across, other than that just a good night sittin out visitin.

I went out two Sundays ago ...... after about two hours of listening to my daughter gripe about the bugs, snakes, dark, and her stale donut, I gave it up and went home. I was just starting to get some nibbles, too.  I am always nervous about going fishing by myself (nowadays, didn't use to be) so I told her that since she had moved back in and I wouldn't be going by myself, we would be making it a weekly, Sunday night fishing trip and plan a picnic dinner to take with us. She moved back out the next morning!  |

Im takin the canoe out this evening and a new kid. Orta be entertaining. Water level is up bout 14 feet above pool. Be like navigating the bayous.  |

Well we went. And yeah it was entertaining. As we were goin thru the low hanging trees, this kid came up with all kinds of creatures that he was alil worried about. Cougars and mountain lions and I dunno what all. I told him the only kinda lion that would be out there was a sea lion. He didnt find it as funny as I did. Still some dummy (me) forgot most of the bait at home and all we had was chicken gizzards and one dead minnow I found on the bank. Neither worked. Was a nice night on the water tho. No wind, and a bright moon and new stories to be told.  |

Haven't gotten to go since the 4th of the month, hoping to get out tomorrow night, but now mama is sick so may not get to go again. Sometimes it just ain't fair, but it's all part of the life cycle.

Went out for a couple of hours today, but alas, no catchin going on, but did get two nibbles, I think they were just old leatherbacks, anyway that was the way they bit.

Haven't had a chance of going here yet. The river is still in flood stage as well as the creeks...Been thinking about going to a pay lake just so I can say that I got to fish.
