I've never had a smoked turkey. I've always used the carcass to make stock for soups from my turkeys, then I freeze it till I need it.
The pineapple upside down cake hit the spot, could have use a dollop of whipped cream or scoop of vanilla icecream to make it real special, but it worked, LOL. Pulling out and posting the recipe for the batter dipped veggies for Snowflake made me hungry for those, so tonight that's what I'm gonna have. Went to the store this a.m. and got some green beans and cauliflower.

I had a short stack with a couple runny eggs on top.
Smokin a turkey ain't good. Feathers keep cloggin up the pipe. bout as much fun as smokin a fish.

I got lots of sweet taters, but I'm getting a mite tired of them, LOL. Havin' rice and broccoli tonight, with some teriyaki sauce on it. Glad I found the broccoli stuck back in a corner of the freezer, fell behind the ice trays.

A little butter, salt, pepper and some Italian dressing. and about 20 minutes before serving I peeled back the aluminum foil and threw on some broccoli. Best part is that it is even better as leftovers.

Sounds good SF. The chicken legs should work, although cause of the skin there's prolly gonna be a lot of fat/moisture. If you try it let me know how it turns out. I'm making homemade chicken/rice soup today, smells real good simmering away....... We got another storm coming in today, don't think we'll get snow at my level, not sposed to get below 4500 feet, but never know..........
