I know all the big hunting is over and the deer calls and scents have been put away with dreams of the next season when that elusive buck will come back out of hiding... And the big ole bears are all snug in their dens. But Spring is around the corner and with spring comes a whole new season of hunting.... Wild Turkeys ! ( and no I dont mean the kind that comes in a bottle ! ) How many here do get to go Turkey hunting? My dad used to go every year, Never got one but had fun anyway... Any tips for those who have gone or would like to go? Season In WV starts the fourth monday in April . A lot of the old timers back home was against the spring hunt cause of the hens setting at the time. Whats your opinion?

I go for them every spring our season starts on april 25 and runs to may 31.I like to hunt them in the afternoons when the hens are on their nests. The old toms are easier to call to the decoys.I always fill at least one of my two tags each year.
