The chicken and noodles and the chili all sounds wonderful... and you are really making me hungry with all the talk of cornbread. May have to make some now, today, lol. Never heard of meatball soup, but that sure does sound good. Do you have a recipe?
Last night was baked ham, sweet potato and a Godiva chocolate bar for dessert. Not sure yet about tonight. I can't make up my mind. It is a matter of what I really want vs what I have time to make and still get gifts finished, wrapped, and critters battened down before the hard cold/snow/sleet all hit.

We're having a Christmas stew tomorrow, LOL. It'll be just my ma, pa and me, so we decided we'd like just a big bowl of stew, garlic bread and dessert. We're all cold and it just sounds good. The son and his wife are going to try to come up weekend before New Year's, so we'll have a big meal then. Weather is just wacky this week and we don't want them coming up and running into snow, if it happens.

well, I was gonna come and help with the leftovers, but ya done and ruined that idea when ya ate the last piece of cheese cake. I worked tonight and the landmark cafe is doing their friday night taco deal again. so I ordered 14 tacos and one of the girls ordered some other thing I can't pronounce. They's good enuff to deliver. Sure beat fish or chicken for a change.

yeah HB, like left over cheese cake would be enough to get ya to drive up to the city!!
I imagine I'll have more of that soup today before I start in with the casseroles and mixin stuff to change the looks of some of the left-overs.

That Christmas Stew sure sounded good!
Egg drop soup and a big bowl of rice. I've got the flu and it really hit the spot.

Tentfire...hope you are feeling better. The flu is nasty around here.
I had left overs tonight...scalloped tators with onions and ham (yes...from the Christmas ham).
I think I can get one more breakfast with the last of the ham.....

Oh, those scalloped potatoes sound good! I have been wanting to make some (have a bunch of potatoes that are trying to sprout) but didn't have the energy to peel them. Maybe by the weekend. Didn't think of putting ham in them.
And thanks, ppennay. I think my fever finally broke this afternoon. It seems to have hit its peek between last night and this morning. Aches aren't so bad now, either. Hoping I am on the mend now. Just really croupy and weak.
A jar of mandarin oranges and LOTS of herbal and green tea. Oh, yes, and a hot chocolate with cayenne pepper - sure opened my head up.
