I only have a tiny bit of garden for my flowers, and don't want to give any of it up for a veggie garden, much as I'd like to have one. My daughter-in-law is digging her ground to plant some veggies for the kids, so maybe I can work on that with her.

That will be good if you can go and help them. I guess both of my garden spots equal about 1/2 acre. I am just mowing them this year . My strawberries are on raised beds in another part of the yard. What's left of them that the deer didn't devour over the winter . I'm going over the weekend to Jackson and get me alot of annuals for my flower beds to fill in the empty spots. Maybe that will lift my spirits.

JOYCE, WITH THE WEATHER BEING ALL SCREWED UP, IT'S STILL NOT TOO LATE, TO PLANT THOSE EARLY VEGGIES. THEY WILL STILL COME ON UP. PLANT THE FLOWERS, BUT LEAVE ROOM FOR WHAT UP REALLY WANT.

I will have to wait on my vegetable garden until next year, but that's ok. Our weather is so strange through here if you don't get it out early, you jest don't make anything. I will go to the farmers market in Jackson and get my goodies this year to can and freeze. We got strawberries through here now. I hope mine hurry up and start getting ripe. I want to put up some freezer jam and then some to eat on.
