Name a flower

I don't know how to tell you so you might know what I am talking about but here goes anyways.


It has lilac and white flowers that are sort of spread out, and it has alot of leaves and a lot of long stems. And it smells like a skunk. LOL


And old woman gave me some one time yrs. ago and she just called them skunk weed. I guess because the smell reminded you of a skunk. LOL


I would like to find some of them but have no ideal of what to look for. If you have any clue as to what they are please let me know.

I know. lol I thought when I googled it it would give me more info than marijuana.

I know what kind of flower she is talkin' bout. I just can't find the "proper" name for it. I'm still searching.

I thought that when she gave me the seeds.

It is a pretty flower and I would just like to have a few of them around.

And hill told me to go slap a skunk when I wanted to smell them.

LOL Not that brave.

Hey thanks guys for trying to find the name for me. I am not to good at looking up stuff on here, so if you can't find it that is o.k. and I really thank you for looking.


I'll check back tomorrow and if you haven't found it then don't keep looking, I don't think it is that important for you to have to waste your time for.

Are the blooms really small? What do the leaves look like? What you describe sounds like the flowers that hostas have. I usually pinch the blooms off my hosta. I don't like them, I want the hosta for the foliage only. When you say lilac and white, do you mean on each bloom or there was one plant with white and one plant with lilac? Since you say it smells bad, some herbs have a weird smell, do you think it was an herb...beside MJ, LOL.

The flowers are lilac and white together, and they are sort of round but spread out if you know what I mean.

The leaves do look like MJ. LOL the stems are long and thin.

I really don't know how to explain them.

someone said something the other day that they thought it might be something like a butterfly flower. Don't know so thats o.k.

may see some somewhere and if I do I will just stop and ask for some of them. LOL

Oh I have a butterfly bush. But it has white blooms. The flowers are small. long, clustered like.

Does it look something like this? These can have white, pinkish, lavender/pinkish and white/purple and blue flowers on them. The different plants also seem to have several different shapes of leaves, but are all the same kind of plant. This one has the marijuana type shape leaves. It's a Hellebore and smells like a skunk.

Must be it buzzie, because my butterfly bush doesn't stink. I don't think I have ever seen one of those. Because of its smell, does it have any other purpose such as keeping varmints away?

Don't know. It's kind of like one of those skunk cabbage plants (but that one's flower looks like a calla lilly to me, the skunk cabbage that is), but they both sure do remind me of SKUNK! (either that or an enemy is lurking in the front yard, LOL!

Sorry it has took me so long to get back here, but been busy with a "new maybe the one." hehe

Now that looks something like the leaves but not sure but that could be it.

Sure does look like it and the one I am talking about does have the mj look to it like that does.

I think I will find some of those and see if that is it.

Guess the only way to know for sure is get them and see. hehe
