Anyone who loves strawberries, this is very helpful. Take nitrogen and put around your plants.Too much will burn them out, can't really say how much for you to use, depends on the size of your patch.Nitrogen and plenty of water will get those babies going.Do the nitrogen thing once every 2 weeks and water daily. You'll get strawberry's the size of half-dollars.lol And remember to get plenty of chocolate for dipping.

Ya have to be careful with the ammonia nitrate/nitrogen, too much of it will turn your plants to vines. I use ammonia nitrate around alot of my stuff. Momma always told me when I was a kid you sprinkle it about 6 inches away from the base of the plant and sorta like sprinkling black pepper on chicken and dumplings. ;D In fact day before yesterday when they were predicting the rain here I went out and all my flowers and veges got a dose.

I had some pretty berries up until last year when the deer ate them off to the top of the ground. I got out there and tore the beds up. My health was bad last year so I didn't replant any for this year. I am thinking about working some new ground this year, getting it in good shape and then next spring planting another berry patch. I had a friend bring me a flat of berries and that's all I have had this year. Not many around here because of the Easter freeze we had. $20.00 a flat which is only 8 quarts. Too expensive for me.
