Sounds like a good idea. I know I won't have no ripe maters by May. Crap I won't plant mine til then.
But yea like the biggest canteloupe, first ripe summer squash, anything like that sounds good to me.

How about the nicest picture of maybe 5 different things. Best picture of Sunflowers in your garden. A Lettuce bed. Flower bed, mixture of vegatables. Maybe also the best picture for the early garden like april , may june ect. Best all around picture. Then we can go with the best of four catogories in tomatoes like largest the most unusual, Best varities of colors & shapes. Biggest paste 0r roma type. Peppers we can do the same thing. I will donate 10packs of Mixed sunflower seeds with 50 seeds per pack. Maybe we could have a mixed seed package for a prize like 10 packs of all types of seeds I can also donate that! I will even add five bobbers as 5 prizes to this contest! so pictures will be the basis. Those are my suggestions.Lets see what everyone can suggest for prizes. Maybe this will make gardening even more fun this year.

What we have to do is make prizes every month as we progress to the end of the garden season. Start with maybe May for lettuce or flowers or just the looks of a beginning garden. Then each month we will have something different like june there are some plants that are done or growing nicely by then. First tomato in July. Sounds far off but time flies!

Well all this sounds good. But you can also have a spot for those who don't have room for a garden. Maybe the prettiest flower box. Or even a square foot garden.... Or a hand made flower / garden box from start to finnish.

All great ideas. And like snowflake said for the ones who don't really have the space for a garden, I like the idea about the planter boxes and such.
