It is really cool when you can see em do that. I used to walk an area every night and saw the critters doing the coolest things. Though I took my camera, I was always too distracted watching em to think about taking a pic.

Yep they can really jump. Several yrs ago a herd of deer were in a cow pasture and just as I was passing by, around 7 of them leaped over the fence and run and jumped out in front of me! I stood on the brake so hard and thought I was a goner. Just one of them clicked its hoof on my plastic bumper and knocked the paint off. That was the first time I had ever seen deer jump so high. I pulled over after that because I was shaking so bad I couldnt drive. I have come close to hitting deer many times but I think that was the closest call I have had. We are over populated with them around here and I bet half the people or maybe more than half, I have known my lifetime have hit deer. I also came close to hitting a cow in a curve before too. I think that would be worse than hitting a deer!

I had 6 to hit my S-10 truck back in 99 on the paper route. They came out of a cornfield. They were in the back, jumped over the hood, one went over the top of the truck and one went into the passenger side and torn the truck all to pieces.
I gave up that particular route about 3 months after that. I just couldn't go down the road without freeking out.
I still to this day drive so cautious of a morning while on the routes. I see deer almost every morning.

To hit a cow,is far worse than hitting a deer.A cow out weighs a deer by 4-500lbs.I use to have a 15 foot fence on my farm, deer would clear that as if it weren't there, so I took it down.Once I get everything firgured out,I have pics that will amaze you, they did me.lol
