Gus is no longer allowed to watch TV. For those of you who don't know Gus is Kenny's cat that was born to a stray in the yard and Kenny tamed her down. (For along time I thought Gus was a boy so that is why she is Gus). Anyhow she comes in the window and is laying on the end of the bed the other night and is stareing at the TV while King of the Hill was on. It was the one where they keep the Service Man's evil cat. At one point they say "Where is the cat?" and you hear the son's voice call "He's in my room, if I stop petting him he's gonna bite me". 4:00am I get up to go to the bathroom and when I come back to bed Gus decides she wants petted and kept hitting my hand and when my fingers stop she would nip at them to get them to move again. NO MORE TV FOR THIS CAT ;D

The kids had a cat we left with my Mom while we were on vacation. When I called Mom to tell her we had arrived safe she was laughing so hard she could hardly talk. Seems she was watching PBS and some animal show was on. The cat was hiding under the couch and when they showed the animals would jump out to try to catch them. You would have thought she would have given up after the first attempt but she didn't, she would give Mom a look like "next time I'll get it" go back under the couch and lay there waiting to pounce again. Some already know this but growing up I was the one who determined the sex of critters (especially the cats and rabbits). Gus is the first cat that I have missed. I swear there is a space where his jewels were supposed to come in, but since she miscarried a kitten on the back porch . Of course I do know that one in every so many cats are morphodites so I'm telling myself that is the case here. Which to many male hormones would cause a miscarriage. And she sprays the bushes outside and have never seen a female cat spray. Of course this cat is so strange anyhow. If she is in the house I can pick her up and everything, but if she is outside it is like she is a totally different cat and won't even let you get close enough to her to pet.

cali I had never heard it before until a girl I worked with had one. Her kids had wanted a kitten and she made sure she got a male, when it was old enough she had "him" neutered. It got out of the house one day and was gone overnight. Then suprise one day she can't find the cat, so she thinks it got out again when the kids left for school. As she is straighting up the house she walked into her sons room and found he had left his bottom drawer ajar the night before and started to close it, it wouldn't close so she pulls it out to see what the problem was and there was her Neutered Tom Cat nursing three still wet kittens. She called the vet, packed them all up in a box and took them in. (She left all of them with the vet to find homes for). He told her about the morphodite thing and seems when she had the "male" fixed the female stuff kicked in. She brought all the paperwork from the vet to prove to us that she wasn't crazy. And you may think it was cruel to leave them all at the vet but she did have a good reason. She had just found out she was pregnant and by this time the newness had worn off the cat for the kids. She knew that pregnant women were cautioned about cleaning litter boxes and she also knew that with 3 kids she was going to have to find a bigger place to live and finding a place that took kids and animals was near impossible and knowing that if the kids saw the kittens they would get attached to them before the new wore off she figured it was best to leave them all with the vet, who promised to find good homes, and not let the kids know anything about it.
