I can't say this is true. I go to another forum and this guy on there swears this is true. He lives in Belgium. This is what he posted.
You know..., friends of friends went on a boat holiday to Asia. They took their dog Pompom with them !
In China, as they did in other countries, they loved to dine out and taste the local food. Apparently it was a hot day and after ordering a meal, the waiter, using hand-language signalled to the couple if the dog needed something to eat and drink. Yes they replied and content that their dog was being looked after, the waiter led Pompom away.
Sometime later, after paying the bill, they asked to recover the dog, only to discover that they had just eaten it !
This is a typical thing to do in China and because of it, the meal is served at a reduced price.
The woman fell ill and had to be transported back to Belgium to be treated for all sorts of psychological problems.
