Now that we have a blanket on the bed Gus has picked up a new habit, she has started attacking our feet under the blanket. I don't know if she thinks the blanket has eaten our feet and is trying to save them or what. If we stick them outside the blanket she will lay down and behave, as soon as we cover up again she is up and attacking.

Is "Gus" a dog or cat?

I think Gus is the boy cat that had a kitten. It is funny how change will cause funny reactions. The neighbors doggie that visits me has been with me almost nonstop since it started raining here. It rained so rarely as he grew up during the summer. The first few times it did rain it was a loud thunder storm and now he doesn't like going outside when it rains. I have to stand out with him to get him to pee. I let him out at night and he won't go home. He sits at my door and scratches and whines until I let him in. I made him stay out last nite so he would go home for a while and not get me into trouble with his real owners. He was asleep on my front porch this morning.

I thought it was a cat, since my 2 do the same thing. And Spyde, I think jellybean likes it at your house best. The owners don't seem to give him much attention.

Yes is the cat that I swore was male, until it miscarried kittens (she has done this twice now so I think it's a he/she and to many male hormones won't let the kittens develop). Early this morning I think I may have broken her of the habit kind of by accident. Automatic reaction to kitty claws digging into your foot when you are sound asleep is to kick. She landed on the floor but when she got back up on the bed she layed still the rest of the night.
