I see them around here occasionally and I never knew they were a wasp. Amazing how I learn things all the time by reading. . whatsthatbug.com/velvet_ants.htmlThis site is very good to identify bugs and has lots of pics. This is the home page. whatsthatbug.com/index.htmlWell...after reading that worst bug stories page I showered and blasted my body with the hottest water I could stand and scrubbed.

Spyde, I am sure it is a good site. But I hate bugs and just can't bring myself to read any horror stories about bugs. I would be dreaming about them for a long time.

Um, I'm with Cali, think I'll leave this one alone, LOL. Two to three inch cockroaches (and those were the BABIES!) overseas made me paranoid of bugs. It took a hammer to kill those suckers!

I have a fear of them too. I hate bugs.. I hate spyders.. I look every night under my bed and all around and shake every thing and then wrap myself in the blanket. It is a tiresome ritual LOL This apt. is infested with roaches.. I am begining to think it is a criteria to living in Tulsa that you must have a roach problem.. They spray every 3rd month here.. I take the garbage out 3 times a day. I never leave any food out. I always wash the dishes.. I have a thing about any thing on the floor. I am a neat freak.. I will not let the drains go uncovered. I spray in between the bug guy spraying and pour boric acid every where and still they are coming out. I am begining to think of them as my pets . LOL I can't stand it . It freaks me out. How in god's name do you get rid of the B#%^^%$? Might I add that I never had a bug problem in Illinois, In all my years of living there.. Oklahoma is scary.

Sounds like you are doing everything you can. When I lived in Bemis the houses were really close to each other. I had roaches there a few times in the 5 yrs I lived there. I found out if anyone lives close to you and they have them, you will keep getting them. If everyone would do what you are doing you might solve the problem, maybe. But I have never been to OK...so I don't really know if that would work either.

This complex looks clean and this apt. was spotless, that is one of the reason I moved here . It took about 4 months of living here before I first started seeing the little b*st**ds. I couldn't believe it. I wish everyone would do something . ~Screams~
