Icky-Tasting Tick Tip Country Lore: A simple preventive for tick bite : a tiny dab of sulfur introduced into the human system early in spring is all thats needed. related More Natural Health from Mother Earth Living By JO NATHAN With Lyme's Disease so much in the news, I want to spread the good news of a simple preventive for tick bite that my great-grandfather taught our family long ago. A tiny dab of sulfur introduced into the human system early in spring is all that's needed. Some pharmacists still keep some sulfur mixed up for sale. Many in the Pacific Northwest always had some for sheepherders, whose job required them to live among the ticks. www.motherearthnews.com/Natural-Health/2001-08-01/Icky-Tasting-Tick-Tip.aspx

I feed my dog garlic a lot, she likes it. She has not had any ticks or fleas all summer.

I do like Queenie does. I feed ol Sadsack lotsa garlic an sometimes some Brewer's yeast. Keeps him tick free perty much. He dont like flea collars nor does he like that tick stuff ya pour down his back. He fell for my tricks for a few times. but he aint dumb. So I just lace some meat scraps with a bunch of garlic an some powdered yeast an he swallers it without even tasting it.
