I have migraines sometimes and look out when I do! I get very edgy...
I always know when a migraine is coming (I see a sea of black dots coming toward me in my eyes!) & if it is possible I take my migraine medicine (a tiny 5 mg pill called Zomig) that I have & I put my lavendar mask on & I bury my head in a pillow and take a nap.
The lavendar helps for headaches/migraines. I at first thought that my doctor was crazy when he told me to get a sleep mask that had lavendar that it would soothe my pains. BUT, he knew what he was talking about!
I think that a migraine is the worst feeling in the world.
Most of mine come from the hormonal imbalance that I have and when my insulin levels are higher I have more migraines. {sigh}

I have found the best that works for me is the eye mask things that you get...this one come from one of those places that sales herbal stuff and it is filled with beads or something and soaked in lavendar. I keep it in a bag when it is not in use to make sure the lavendar is just as fresh when I use it the next time. They told me to bathe in lavendar soap too (but then my dermatolgist told me baby soap) sooo now I get Lavendar baby soap

There was a 5 yr period that I had them 3 to 4 times a yr. I don't really know what caused them. But glad I very very rarely get one.
I also knew when I would get one. I would get shiny sparkly little lines in my eyesight. Then after 15 minutes I got tunnel vision for a few minutes then it would hit. It would last usually 3 days and nights. The 4th day my brain would feel sore from the intense pain. I agree, they are horrible.

When I really get stressed out which is alot here lately I get the worst headaches, usually if I rub some Ben-Gay or IcyHot on my forehead and the back of my neck and take 3 Advil it seems to help it but it will still be a dull headache usually lasting 2 or 3 days.
I didn't know they made baby lavender soap. I will have to look for that.

Yep they do aunt Joyce. It is in the baby section in the soaps made by Johnson and Johnson and smells great! They even have a some in the Equate version which smells just as good!
& I think some is over on the HBA side but not in the actual soaps it is where they keep the baby supplies like Q-tips and stuff over there.

Lavender does work well to relax you. I used to get migraines when I was working, found out it was from being stressed all the time. Now I only get one occasionally when things get really, really, really bad for me. I don't miss them.
