no mine is always in the 110/70 - 120/80 range... my pulse sometimes gets the docs... it is sometimes 59-60 per min..... I have to watch my sugar, sometimes it is too low havent had as many problems with it since getting older.... Well since you walk and are on meds,, it could be hereditary...

At one time mine climbed up to 232/192.. after many dr. trips, several hospitalizations and upteen medications, I now have a normal BP of 122/70 and have maintained for a yr. I take DiovanHCT160mg/12.5novartis and lasix 80 mg daily.
I watch my weight ( so far it has not gone any where ;D) I walk 2 miles a day or more and am going to add a yoga class in or am thinking about it .

Mine is high too. Not that high, but enuff to make me uncomfortable. I've been havin to steadily increase my meds over the past 6 or so years. I take lopressor.
I'm sure workin in a place the grease floats in the air doesnt help any. Seems like when I was more active an takin a good multi-vitamin, I was doing better. Lotsa things can make it spike up. Health wise or mental wise.
I hide a weeks worth of BP meds in my emergency kit. Just thought I'd toss that in. Since I hide some everywhere. I usually manage to run out least once a year an havta go dig em out. lol Which is good, they need replaced.

When I lost my health insurance, couldn't afford the doctor trips or meds anymore, so had to come up with some other ways to start controlling the blood pressure. Cut out all added salt (except in baking, you just gotta have it there), no more caffeinated drinks (includes coffee, tea and soda), started checking packaging on pre-packaged foods and started buying those lower in sodium. Began eating more fresh or frozen veggies and fruits, no more canned. Started eating less salted meats, like ham and sausages. Drink more water, have lost 35 lbs so far in the last year. Too much salt was a big part of my problem, we just don't realize how much we use/take in everyday most times. I also use a lot of garlic, that's supposed to help with high blood pressure. Can't do a lot of exercise because of my arthritis, but I try to keep myself busy doing other things (sewing, crafting and the like) so I don't eat.

Found out this past Friday my BP was high. He wanted me to cut out the salt and caffeine. Easier said than done. The exercise is gonna have to wait because of my legs and knee being messed up. I am trying though to cut back on salt and caffeine. Also trying to cut back on smoking. I haven't been the best the past few days.

I have high BP caused by exhaustion and stress. The best cure would be the use of a sawed-off shotgun! LOL I love that humor!

My husbands BP has always been high but lately it has gotten higher so they increased his meds and I have been really watching how much salt I use and he has not used salt at the table for years I hope it gets under control soon and they don't have to start switchin his meds again!
