I know y'all aint gonna believe this but I got a turkey with my sling shot one time. I fired about 25 rocks at him then all of a sudden I got him smack in his head and knocked him silly. Then I got hold of him and put him out of his misery.

I'm impressed! But I could never wring a neck like that!
When I lived in Bemis, that's in city limits, we had a turkey come up on the front porch. He hung around for about a week. He would stand there makin turkey sounds like he wanted us to come outside but when we did he would run off. Figured it was someone's pet that got lost.

Yesterday on my way back from town, and I didn't have my camera with me.I saw Grandpa Turkey, this bird was hugh.I stopped my truck to watch him.I am not kidding,as he was strutting, his beard was behind him, must have been about 30 inches long if not longer.I did think for 1 moment, run him over.lol Couldn't do that though.Anyone who gets this bird will have a trophy.

That is the one that met me in that park!!! I swear walking a simple little trail feeding the small birds from my hand and MONSTER turkey decides he now desires thistle! That thing wouldn't even fit in an oven!
