oh my goodness! lol ... I see I'm gonna have to come back this evening and really check it all out! You people are so kind! Thank ya! thank ya! ...

I got my boys here today and we are hoping to get the posts set and the fencing up .... we'll be pushing it for time before my oldest boy leaves .... but we are gonna give it a good try! Getting these chickens taken care of before winter has been a long slow project, but we're getting there! Thank you!

I think that chicken coop at Virginia Extension office is about what I am gonna be wanting to build. We just about have the fence up, gotta get me some nails tomorrow to nail some 2X4s up around the top of it to have something to staple the plastic netting across the top to! Then I'll be ready to let the chickens into their permanent pen . Next summer I'll be looking at a permanent chicken house. For this winter, my chickens are gonna have to deal with a welded wire hoop house with a tarp over it and a bale or two of straw along the north side, but I do believe they will be fine.

Thank you guys for all the help! I was able to make nest boxes, 3 of them, but I still need to build some perches or roosts ... or whatever ya wanna call em! lol.
