The Blarney Stone is a stone that can be found in the Blarney Castle tower in Blarney, Ireland. Legend says that the Blarney Stone has magical powers, and those that kiss it will receive the give of persuasive speech. InstructionsDifficulty: Moderately Easy Things You’ll Need: A clean rock with a smooth surface, paperweight-sized Paintbrush or sponge brush Green craft paint Craft glue Permanent markers Decorations of your choice, such as yarn, rhinestones, old jewelry, glitter, google eyes, etc. Step 1: Wash and dry your rock. Make sure it is completely dry and paint it green. Allow the paint to dry.
Step 2: Use your imagination and decorate the Blarney Stone any way you like, using craft glue to attach sequins, jewels, beads, glitter, yarn, googly eyes or any other embellishments that strike your fancy.
Step 3: Write "Kiss Me, I'm Irish," or any sentiment that you like on the Blarney Stone, using permanent markers.
Step 4: Apple a coat of polyurethane sealer on your Blarney Stone to seal it and make it shine.

When I was in public speaking my first year of college our professor made each of us a blarney stone for a gift and we was to give her the gift of a great speech. Sometimes I think it might have worked because none of us walked out of there with less than a B! I am not sure what happened to mine though...we had a "college party" one night and it come up missing...I was so mad that they stole a Blarney Stone of all things! They must have needed a good speech
