I guess this is where I tell y'all that I just had 20 teeth pulled, and plastic slapped in? So, the surgery went well, I'm fine, on fair drugs, and eatin' a LOT of soup.  So, keep them recipes comin'. |

Well Cena I have been there and done that  So know what your going thruogh I remember years ago when my brother got his jaw broke and had to have it wired shut He had to eat and drink everything from a straw so mom had to puree everything for him His fravorate soup tho was CHEESE soup, and potatoe soup mom mashed the potatoes so that they could go through the straw and no onions He was the lucky one cause when I went to get the brittle pieces of teeth removed from the gumms All I could have for a good month was Ice cream, very little gravy and nasty Jello and until this day I still dont eat very much of any of that stuff at all now |

Oh cena. Tears just came to my eyes! I hope you do well. And god forbid no dry sockets. I have had one of those and it isn't fun. I can not imagine you guys having to go thru that! I hate goin to the dentist! I see now why you said that about eating soup earlier. Hope you feel better soon, and wonder if you might mix a little liquer with those soups. |

Ah, no, SpyderLady, I mix a lota with my hot chocolate. Who knew vodka and Hot Chock would go well? See, yep, that self medicate stuff WORKS!

No dry sockets, and I'm doing very well.
All of the stiches have disolved (THAT was fun!) and things are tickin' right along. I can't eat yet, I've nearly killed myself a time or two, thinkin I had it chewed up, but just 'wallered' around, and tried to swallow a log! I'll learn to eat at home, eventually. Its embarrasing to turn red, THEN blue out in public. You make the most alarming sounds, too!
I'm doing much better than I expected too. Bonus, I still have vicodan left, meaning later, when I drop a tree on me, or dig a hole to china, I'll be set.
Now, I just need to learn to eat all over again.
I've lost some weight though. Should make the dietician yell at me less, when I go back...

 Sure glad you survived that!! Oh, I am way too familiar with hording pain pills! When you have been thru the red tape of getting something you need so badly, and because the druggies have abused the system..you fear there will be a day you won't get them. You wouldn't believe the months I endured pain, and had to keep asking for them, and had to endure the feeling the dr thinks you are just wanting them for recreational use. Good to hear you are doing better than expected!
