Don't laugh now,but my brother makes women's purses, and he's straight.lol Anyways what he does is get wooded cigar-boxes and adds handles and latches. Most wooden boxes already have a pic on the box.He than puts a protective coating on the purse. He sells them at craft shows. So any of you women want to try and possibly make a few bucks, give it a try.

That sounds cool. You can't hardly find wood cigar boxes around my area, mostly cardboard. And I bet they're neat to see. But girls don't always need easy crafts. I do woodburning a lot of times. Just finished making a clock for my dad and my son taught me how to frame in the back around the clock works so's it hangs flat against the wall. I will admit my heart when thumpity thump using that table saw, but I did jest fine. Then I stained it. It's a lion's head on the front that I did the wood burning on. I'll have to find my danged camera and take a pic of it and post it. It was intended for a room in his workshop, but he's so proud of it that he hung it in the diningroom/livingroom area where everyone who comes over can see it, I did it for his birthday.

I'll get a couple pics of some of the stuff I can still get access to, LOL! And a couple I have around the house. Most of it I give away (or let people "steal") to family. I love to craft and make things for people. I do the woodburning, painting on pots (metal and terra cotta), made about 14 crucifixes to hang above my bed, potpouri jars and such, learning to make quilts, knit scarves, afghans and such. There's a class here to learn to do stained glass and mosaic projects. Soon as I get out from under a few more bills, I want to take that. Have always wanted to do stained glass especially. Made most of the ornaments for a "western" Christmas tree I put up every year. Just anything to keep busy. My new "craft" is making figure skating dresses for my granddaughter. Still learning those. I can sew, but have never done this kind of material till now. When I can't think of a project, I sand and refinish furniture or shelves, LOL. I love making stuff and I love getting homemade stuff from people. Then you know they cared (or else were really broke, LOL!)

We got a couple people around here that carve bears and such with a chainsaw. I really want to get one sometime this year. Has them all sizes.
