Well since spring is around the corner I figgure it may be time for a new look I found this easy NO SEW curtains I thought looked interesting. Here is the website. No Sew Curtains Supply List 1x2 board for mounting board staple gun & staples screwdriver & screws thumbtacks fabric trim Measure Window At top of window, measure the inside window width. Now measure from the top of the inside window to the desired finished length of the fabric panel. Cutting Mounting Board, Fabric, and Trim Cut mounting board 1/4" shorter than the inside width of the window. For the fabric panel, add 2" to the width; add 12" to the length. Cut a piece of fabric to these measurements. For the center cinching band, cut a 5" wide strip of fabric the same length as your fabric panel plus 3". Cut two pieces of trim the same length. www.denverfabrics.com/pages/static/curtains/no-sew-curtains.htm

I like that idea, ya know I have used bed sheets as curtains before. I got myself a beautiful comforter once and couldn't find curtains to match it so I used twin flat sheets that matched my bed sheets, stung them on a curtain rod and accented them with a few sheer scarfs then used safety pens to keep them in place. ;D Everyone asked me "Where did you get those beautiful curtains?" But I don't have none of that now, but someday I will again.

I like those. I have curtains that I made liners for out of sheets. I just couldn't afford $29/panel for the curtains that were already lined, so bought white twin sheets on sale at Wally World for $3.99/sheet. Worked great and no one can tell they're sheets. BTW, found some new materials I would like to get for my g-daughter's skating dresses on that site too. Thanks, LOL

My grandma made my curtains for me...my room is red with zebra print all over it and I wanted my curtains to match...I had found some zebra print curtains for $55! I thought Ya right!! So, I found zebra print material on sale at Wally World for $1/yrd (they said it wasn't in high demand) & I bought every last inch of it!!!! Grandma made me pillow cases, curtains, and whatever you call them that is on top of the dresser and stuff to give it that look (I think she called it a runner) & she also made me a bag thing that hangs beside my bed with all of my remote controls in it, so that they are not misplaced or lost.

I wanted brown curtains in the living room. Never could find a solid dark brown, so I just put mini blinds and maroon shears. I am not all that about decorating. lol

I made pouffy lace curtains for my living room out of lace. It was on sale for 50 cents a yard! I took 3 yards per window and ran ribbon up the sides and middle then scrunched it to fit just inside the window. Everyone loved them. I told a friend how I made them and she said she paid $30 for hers and they were plain old flat panels. When I told her that each window was only $1.50 she wasn't really happy, but she said she learned her lesson. Now I get to make her lace sheers for her bedroom.
I just moved into a new house and couldn't find curtains I liked that I could afford. A friend told me to check out the local St Vincent DePaul store. I couldn't find any curtains but I did find 2 King sized sheets for $3 so I bought them. I cut them to fit the length I needed, cut them up the middle to make 2 panels for each window and used the extra material for a ruffle around down the inside and bottom of each "curtain." Since I added the ruffle I didn't have to hem them and there was already a place to put the rod. It took less than an hour to make 4 panels. They're really pretty and needless to say I'm quite proud of myself!

I kind of like them! I want to do more but am afraid to! The landlord was impressed with the place though. He said he figured I'd have peace signs and smiley faces all over the house. He thinks I'm a hippy! When he saw the way I decorated it he said it looked like a little old victorian lady lived here. Men!

Meybe he's never seen a victorian hippy Trust me, he has now! I put some plants in smiley face mugs and put them on the coffee table and told him they were just for him. He busted a gut laughing at them. Here are a few of pictures of my living room. Please excuse the mess on the love seat, I was moving in!

I have another one on the other side of the coffee table with candles in the middle. They had lids with them when I got them but the grand babies used them for frisbees. Their mommas came unglued!
