These pillows allow nature to inspire us in our homes. Using flowers and butterflies as her patterns, Adriana Yoto customizes readymade pillow covers with hand-dyed fabric and iron-on adhesive for a simple no-sew project. We dyed fabric in custom colors but the adhesive can also be used on store-bought fabric. Materials: Liquid fabric dye in several colors, available at craft and drug stores Natural fiber pillow cover (cotton, linen, silk, and wool will not melt from high ironing temperature which is needed to set adhesive) White linen, about 1 yard Several large plastic bowls for dying (do not reuse for food) Latex gloves to protect hands from dye Press cloth Iron and ironing board Several small swatches of linen to test dye colors Double-sided iron-on adhesive, such as Steam-A Seam 2 Permanent fabric marking pen, available at fabric stores www.cultivatinglife.com/project.php?id=84
