If ya wanta promote th values y'all talk about growin up with, then take up this challenge. If ya got any kids, grand kids, or great grand kids, take at least one of em fishin an report back to this thread. If ya ain't useta doin this, I'd start out with one at a time, but that's optional. Take em all one at a time if yer tuff enuff. Now I don't know yer situation, an maybe You cain't do this fer whatever reason, but if yer only reason is a shortage of kids, then by all means, borry one! Hillbilly been doin it fer years, an judgin from th apparent satisfaction he seems to enjoy, he gonna keep on doin it! I know some of them kids an I know of some of th differnces he's made in how they turned out. Keep'em safe, an teach'em what they need ta know. You may never know th influence you have on that kid, but ya will know th influence th kid has on you.

My son takes his kids (and sometimes their friends) fishing, and when he can't my dad takes them. I can't do the walking on the river banks and lakes rough ground (and don't you laugh, but I can't stand to bait my own hooks)

Just so happened, I went this afternoon with my latest fishin buddy. Was a nice day an the water was still. Found out his dad's old boat still ran and would provide excellent skeeter repellant. (smoked alot) But it took us to a cove an back again. Trollin motor was stuck on one speed. (slow) We managed to net a few shad an tossed a couple jugs an a few poles. I got one bite onna pole, which stole my bait. And had one jug do a short dance and wound up baitless, as well. Still it was a good day on the water. With good company. Thats what counts. Sinker, I changed the title a tad bit to attract more of the fishing sorts to the site. Meybe some other folks in google land will take on the challenge.

That's alright with me. I just happen ta love fishin with th GRANDkids, and thought mebbe this would be a way ta spark some interst. I know there's folks like buzzard that cain't navigate some a th terrain, an I hope they don't feel left out. It ain't never my intent ta pick on somebody that cain't git around. They can do their part just by takin an interst in lettin th kid tell em all about th trip.I remember a few attaboys from my Grandad. Nuthin ever felt better. Heck if ya know some kid that needs ta go an you cain't, haul off an embarrass somebody inta doin it in yer place! I figgered I'd git told by now ta mind my own bizness!

Well, now. I challenged adults ta take kids fishin. My boys turned it around, an took me fishin! We went right below th Truman Dam. Caught my first walleye, ever. I cawt a small blue, Son; Daniel caught 3 or 4 blues, an Son Doug caught bout 5 blues an a channel. We was hopin fer a biggun, but we was happy with a stringer of 3-4 pounders. It was a blast, stayed out all nite on th water. I gess it turned out right after all! They both be adults, an I'm in my second childhood!

My Hubby and I had our first date takin my boys fishin... I figgured iffin he could handle fishin with 2 rambunctious boys then he might be able to hang in there for the long haul. Been together 8 years this past may 5th. I took my boys every year.... Now theys all growed up and I gots 2 lil nephews I can't wait ta take this summer. ( their dad don't fish & their mum, my sis, has knee problems.... ) So I figgure they can just go along with me ! ( Might have to do them like my pap did me and tie em to a tree so they don't fall in the water ! ) LOL
