Stockpile!
When you see an exceptional buy on something, go ahead and stockpile. Take for example, tube-socks that are marked down because the packaging is old or they are from the previous season. Often they will sell for $3.00 or less a dozen. Go ahead and buy 4-dozen. Do the math - you can get 48 pairs of socks for .25 cents a pair. Now that is a deal.

Lilith the first place I go at the grocery store is the old meat sale bin where it's nearly outdated. Last week I got some thin cut flank steak and came home and threw it in the freezer I have some left over beef broth and egg noodles and will make a variation of beef tips over noodles with it. Add some peas with it and you have a GOOD cheap meal.  |

Yeah, when Lays chips on sale for 79 cents, I get 5 or 6 bags. For a single person, they last a long time. BTW, I use plastic clothes pins to close any open bags such as chips, or cookies, crackers. You can get a whole bag of those for what you pay for one of those chip clips.

And chip clips break SO easily and fall off they are pretty worthless I refuse to pay that much money rubber bands work well too. |

I went to Market Place grocery store yesterday. They now have a $1 aisle...a whole aisle, both sides! Ah, a little piece of heaven!

I hit the dollar aisle too at the grocery store, I buy my instant coffee( my pot is broke) for a 1.00 and salad dressing, olives all for a buck. I buy the single pkgs. of meat for 1.80 . I usually go to a small store and they have special cuts of meat for single folks LOL I try to buy only fresh veggies and this store has a nice produce section. Summer is comming and the farmers market will start, I love that.

I dont like to shop so I try to buy in bulks,It works most of the time Not only do I save money but I dont have to go to store as much except for milk,bread ,and little things like that  |

Mamafrog you could buy milk in bulks too it would never go bad! Just buy us a cow, but we might need two cause they only make like 2 gallons of milk a day  We would be in heaven then if we had a whole cow of milk!  |

Hello Cupcake they still milk some just down the road, Why do you think that Tadpole spent alot of time down there it wasnt to clean the barn after chores.He got in good with miss Claudia real fast  |
