I saved another ten bucks last night an gave myself another haircut. Figger I saved $50 bucks, the last year. Put that with the cost of gas an I prolly can put about a hunnerd dollars in my jar. And no, it aint as simple as just buzzin it. I like mine layered. I can do the left side perty well. I just hava hard time cuttin left handed for the right side. An then I just kinda guess at the back. I'll find out how I did at work, here inna bit. The kids are perty truthful at how bad I screw up. lol They got graduation friday night an I figger I got a few days to adjust what i missed. Mom got me ta cuttin hair back when it was 4 dollars a cut. Said she'd just as soon give me the four dollars as to give it to someone else. I was kinda iffy bout it at first. but after i was done an to have her dry her hair by ridin down the road with her head out the winder. It didnt look too bad. Was just as good as them 20 dollar stylish cuts the gals at work was gettin. ;D

If you save $50 a year, you either don't get many haircuts or they're real cheap back there. A haircut, even just a trim, is $13 minimum out here, might get a buck or so off iffen yer a senior citizen. My son, at 37 is bald, actually was bald at 18. He shaves off what little fringe around the edges he has, you know, the corrections officer look, works for him at work, LOL. He has a clippers and does his son's hair and his daughter's. (her is down to her butt and she lives in fear dad will slip and she'll look like him, ROFLMAO)

O wouldn't worry about the condition of your hair OH. The difference between a bad haircut and a good one is 7 days.

Glad ya can save a little on things like that. My son peels his head with clippers, and hubby shaves his, the other monster goes bout once every 4-6 months to a lady back home who charges bout 6 bucks for a regular cut.... Not too bad.

I save money too uncle HB by cutting my own hair ;D Every couple of weeks after I get out of the shower I tip my head over and get the ginormous scissors out that we have and I cut off all the "frizzed" ends and wah-lah I'm ready to go again for a few weeks before it grows back out...doesn't matter if it is straight or not...I have curls in hair so it is NEVER straight

clippers and a half inch standoff and I cut mine and have for several years. Everybody want you to make an appointment and they can kiss my grits, when I"m ready, I'm ready, sides that it's getting thinner lately and I don't care what others think about my cuts, which usually are pretty good but ever now and then, OH MY GOODNESS, must have been nerves or maybe a little parkinsons.

I've cut my hair off and on for years, but it's gettin harder for me to cut the back, so usually wind up going in. Leastways now I get the "senior discount", LOL. My hair is short anyways, but thinking of letting it grow out for summer so's I can put it up.
