Last night after work Me and one of my young fishin buddies (Devin) went fishin. I mangaged to catch one itsy bitsy shad fore he got there an had one pole out. I let the water settle till he got there an tried again. Managed gettin several in my bucket. He tossed out a couple poles an bout 2AM sumpthin bent his pole down. First he thought it was brush or a log in the currant. (the water is rising here after the rain) Cept the log pulled back. lol

I asked if he needed a net. He kept mutterin sumpthin bout Moby Dick. I shined the light on it an whoa baby! it looked big. After quite a tussel I manged to net his new personal best. His previous PB was a four pounder blue. His new PB is a 17 1/2 pound blue. I had been tellin him bout our new tricks we had learned from Chef. and he wanted me to be sure an tell Chef he caught this fish on 20 pound test big game mono with a 80 pound leader with a stinger. Both hooks had him.

You talk bout a proud ladd. He is.

I'm kinda proud of him, too.

Them big ol' blues get me all excited. I had (HAD) a honey-do list for today, but after seein that, I'm gonna sneak out the back door and head straight for the lake......(SHHHHHH....)

Seems like we're only limited to one fish per night. So last night/ this mornin, It was my turn to catch a big cat. Only mine was a bouta half pound channel.


And Snoflake, He kept the fish, last night.

I can see it now there they are sitting in their lil school and fred looks at Jake and says Wheres Bubba ? he was sposed ta bring the worms.... ;D
