A couple of weeks ago, I mentioned that I had used my chainsaw, sawzall, my teeth, etc. to make a giant hole in the Missus' kitchen wall. I was kinda worried about how it'd turn out, especially because she wasn't talkin' to me much, and my Gatorade was startin' to taste more like antifreeze than usual...... Anyway, we turned the whole thing into a family project, with the dogs helping and everything, and I think it turned out ok. Oh, and here's what the other side of the wall looks like now..... Guess all's wall that ends wall........

Chef, i wanna congratulate y'all on still bein' together after finishin' such a project... ...got an aunt and uncle, best marriage i've ever known of....they both say they actually got to throwin' around the "D" word when they were repaperin' a bathroom once........ anyway...that is beautiful...really like the net/water/wharf look shelf under the new display cabinet...an' i love those glass blocks....gosh, y'all got it goin' on there...... ........ an' HB......fishin' folks've gotta' have their priorities straight........goodness sakes, they don't need any kitchen stuff.....they've got some amazin' reels that needed a place to sit........thought ya knew basic fishin' stuff like that... ....

ya mean if i was to call the cdc an' ask, they'd say that multiple cans of peas an' beans are commonly used as an antidote for antifreeze infusion?..... ...... an' those reels are all about the most basics, like eatin'....... ....well, they could be if chef didn't throw back 99% of the fish he catches........

Thanx for the compliments ....
Guess it kinda looks silly with the food shelves behind the reels but those are our two priorities in life.....fishin and eatin!!!!!!!!
I know ya'll can't see the pictures on the wall, but they are all black and white. There are some of the big ones we've caught plus some classic ones of world record fish.
We have the wall behind the tv dedicated to our best catches and best pics......
This was definetly a team effort and we each had our little jobs. It worked out great and not one unkind word.
It took several days to do it but beins were both methodical in our work i guess anyone else would have taken a few hours.
Ya can't see it in the pics but rather than use a conventional trim around the reel shelves, to stick with our fishin theme i, took and wrapped the heavier rope netting around the wood to "frame" it in . That alone took several hours stretchin and tackin as i went.
In one of my past lives i was a floral designer and did many themed wiindows and displays, so this was a trip down memory lane for me.....

What happened GC, yer bazooka backfire? ;D Wanted to enlarge the livingroom a little because of the wide screen television and wanting to help the youngest one to get out of the nest...

GC, KK...that shelf...did ya use all shelves?? We need another... emailed that danged company...(of course it's foriegn made) wanting to buy 1 shelf, and the lil dumafloggers that connect them to the uprights... Email reply was: At one time we carried the shelves and hardware. The cost with shipping these days would have been 37.00 for one shelf. However, we no longer carry them, it would be advised to purchase another shelving unit... Cr*p our house is small, we's lucky to have room fer one So Ima readin that thinkin,,Good luck if we ever need Parts!!
