well I have been pondering on posting a lil something here for awhile... But couldn't decide which story to post. So here goes...
6 years ago Hubby was working in Kutztown PA and we went to stay with him for the summer. We went to this cute little camp ground outside of the crystal cave. Anyway there was this little stream there and my youngest wanted to fish, but we didn't take any poles. So being the country boy he is he started wading the water and gathering up all the lures that everyone lost accross the stream and in the trees. Then he found a long length of line and a nice stick and went fishing. He caught a huge gold trout, and there was a guy from a couple of camps down was walking by he stopped to see the fish. He started talking to Nick about the kind of fishing gear he had just bought and about how he was not having any luck catching any fish and wanted to see Nicks set up.. When Nick went into the tent and came out with a stick with a piece of line and a hook ( WHICH he caught the fish on a piece of hot dog bun) The guy almost fainted !!!! He just couldn't believe that a kid could actually catch a fish on just a piece of line on a stick LOL
He had Nick come to his camp and show everyone what he was fishing with and tell them how he caught the fish. Then they all had Nick set them all up with a "pole" like his. It was something to see 4 grown men out there trying to fish with line on sticks. They were all laughing and carrying on it was so cool. And Nick was loving every minute of it.
