I'm lookin fer a Merc, Johnson or Evinude, 30 to 50 hp, long shaft, remote steering. I have a 16' Gregor aluminum w/side console that a buddy gave to me when I left Calif. I'm refurbishing it over this winter and I'll need an outboard for it in the srping.
The newer engines are just too expensive so I have to go to an older used model. I have complete steering and cables on the boat and I think they are for a Merc which was what the mfg sold as a pkg deal years ago. (1988)
Appreciate any help.
thanx murph..

Don't know of anything that big right now, but I'll keep it in mind. With th economy being what it is, no tellin what a person could find just by askin around. Good luck. What brand of fishin are ya addicted to, jpm? Catfisherman, here.

My recent work schedule and my Veterans' org have kept me too busy to get in much fishin over the past ten years. Mostly I have done all fresh water, bass, Trout, Crappie and of course Cats. The area I lived in southern Calif. had only fresh water resirvoirs which were stocked by the state, so the varieties were limited to what was stocked.
As a kid I fished the lakes in upstate NY where one could hook just about anything. Now that I'm living in central Kansas ( and retired at last) I'll be after Cats, Bass and Crappie, once I learn where to go, and get a motor for my boat.
Thanks for your reply. murph..
