Well if you don't have a broody hen I guess the next best thing is to hatch using an incubator. There are a few things I didn't know about hatching eggs so I looked them up and found this website. Hope it is interesting ot you all.... There are many important factors to consider when hatching chicken eggs. These factors can generally be divided into three categories: choosing the right eggs, selecting an incubator, and maintaining proper incubating conditions. www.howtodothings.com/pets-and-animals/a3158-how-to-hatch-chicken-eggs.html

That last one looks like a Henspa coop. Too costly. Just look up HenSpa an see. Even all the options is too costly. Some good ideas tho, I spose.

LOL nope not gonna be one of them !!! but I like the design of the coop and my son is real handy at figguring out the schematics of things so he is going to help me build one as close to it as possible... Like I said I have most of the material stored up in the top of the shed so it shouldn't cost me much more to build one... I like the idea of being up off the ground to keep any animals from getting in... and also the mess of water runoff on the hill... so will keep them dry that way.

Thats what I like the collecting eggs part ! And they look easy to clean out. Dads was hard to clean when we were little. the mess was terrible!!! I want to make it to where I open a small door on the side and can spray water in to clean it out after I shovel it out for the compost .....
