Base ball cards. ? well Photo cards anyway. My dad was here this weekend and gave me his cards, they are still in the original envelope . He said he got them by sending in cereal box tops and a quarter, they are 12 New YORK Yankee cards (photos) He has had them since he was about 8 or 9 so that would make it about 52 or 53 when he got them. I am just wondering if I should put them in a saftey deposite box in a bank or leave em where he had them? they are real neat about 5x7 pics, I have only heard of one other set around here and they are the white sox I believe. If you know how I can find out any info on them I would appriciate it..

Well I went to the Yankee website but can't find all the photos there. So I am still no closer to comming up with a year. The photos are as follows: Coach Casey Stengel Tommy Byrne Andy Carey Joe Collins Elston Howard Whitey Ford Billy Martin Mickey Mantle Bob Turley Gil McDougald Hank Bauer Larry Berra I can't find a roster for when they all played together. I contacted the website to see if they can help date them for me. wish me luck !!!

I would go to a apraiser and even i you have to pay to get it appraised I would. One may be worth $10,000. Also you can buya card magazine that has many numbers of buyers that will give you a idea of what they would pay you if you ever wanted to sell them! Old cards are worth alot. I would also put them in a plastic case and not handle them except in the case. Put them in a safe and don't tell to many people you have them outside the familY!

Yeah your right bout the family! LIL Brother thought he was a gettin everything when pa dies, But he sort of made the ole man mad and the ole man has slowly been givin me and my sis everything. I ended up wif 12 guns, 2 pistols , the old big ben clock, a 65 ford truck, and now the base ball cards. Sis got 5 guns, and all mums stuff... Lil brother got what him and dad was a fightin over, a knife from WWII I have them in the same envelope dad had them in in the same box. hid.... No one has handled them but me and that was to see the names, then they went back into the envelope in the box.... Been thinkin bout everythin, when pa does die, sh*t is gonna hit the fan !!! LIL brother is gonna raise a stink ! Gonna try to buy him out of his share of the land this year, Hopefully it works out. Thanks guys for your input in this, I look every night online but cant find what I am lookin for...
