For $22.00 and a lot of muscles I made me a new bed !!! I had my boys cut me some trees and we bolted them together with Lag Bolts and now I have a lovely bed ! Only weighs about 200 pounds ! LOL Nah not sure what it does weigh, just know it is 72 inches by 87 inches. My queen mattress fits just right ( but I cant use my box springs makes it too high for me to climb onto ! ) Let me know what you all think !

I do too Buzzy ! This has been a pet project of mine for awhile. been studying all the beds at stores and online and thought I can do that ! So Got the boys and the trusty chain saw and went to town ! The hardest thing was putting the bolts in we pre drilled pilot holes, but it was still hard to tighten them in ! The monsters snapped a few of them LOL

I LOVE IT!! Can I borrow your boys?.... do they work for milk and cookies? ......... I have been looking at furniture like that and it is SOOOO expensive. I am wanting one of those beds and maybe a dining set. I like the way yours is more rustic looking than the bought ones.

Tell ya what tentfire ! If I have to go to Utah then I will swing through and drop them off and when you get done with all your chores and what all you want made you can keep em or throw em on a bus bound for WV !! They just built a Tree house for their uncle that is about a 12x 12 with insulated walls & roof. GOt a recliner and a bed in it so he can hunt when he wants to . It also has a gas heater and the boys say it is toasty And it is about 18 feet or more in the air. They also helped ,me with the porch very rustic looking. dont have any pics on this computer of finnished project. But they are handy to have around for what they call fun projects ;D ( they love using a chain saw ! ) My oldest son took over the bed since I am on the road again... LOL

Cool! I have a couple of chain saws and no one around to use them. Got LOTS of trees, too, so they could have a blast making all kinds of things. But...... would I have a hard time keeping them out of the trees? LOL That tree house sounds NICE! Sounds nice enough to live in. Sounds like your boys are really talented.
Oh, yes... that little Internet dohickey plugged into the side of your laptop in the pic is identical to mine. Don't see too many of those around here, but they sure are handy..... unless a cloud moves over.
