Whats so bad about a bass ? Here's one for ya. I saw this big bass makin her nest along the bank.She had to be at least 7 pounds or better. Man I try everything and she would not take it. I had one more trick in the boat yet and I layed it on her.After a short while I saw my line a start a moving. I watch it and then pulled on that pole to let her know she was mine.   Boy what a fighter maybe she was a 10 pounder.After a short time showing her who was boss.She came to the boat to sirrender to my net.  But to my sirprise that bass had the last laugh on me. :'(You see the fish I had was not a bass at all. It was a big old bull-head.A yellow belly ugly 18 and a 1/2 inches fat bull-head. How embarrassin that was. Everybody on shore who was watching me fight that big old bugger thought it was a walleye or a large mouth bass. Not a frecking bull-head. You should have heard people say aw the poor guy got a bull-head. What a let down.  Now thats embarrassin in front of all tho's folks.  |

I was waiting for ya'lls to say that. It's 100% true. Just don't know how much it was in pounds thats all.Around here bull-heads get big cause know body likes them. Beleave it or not it happend thats all I can say.  |

I better tell ya'll what is called bull-heads around here.There are two that I know of and one has a white belly and is black big time and is small.The other is the one I got. It has a yellow belly and is a funny ugly kinda color. And thay get really big for a bull-head. Next time I see one. I'll get a photo.The yellow belly bull-heads are fun to fight with.But thats it. I've gottin a small feddler cat once while fishing for sturgeon.Now that was a good eatin fish that feddler cat was. I smoke the sturgeons. Everybody likes the tast of the brime I soke them in for a day befor I smoke them.Hmmmm I'm getting hungry. |
