Stain Remover
A great way to remove a stain on a carpet is with lacquer thinner. Unlike paint thinner, lacquer thinner does not leave a residue. For blood stains, hydrogen peroxide works wonders. Slivers of Soap
When your bath soap gets to the "sliver" size, don't throw it away. Take a mesh bag, put the slivers into it and tie it on the outside of a faucet. You have an instant hand-washing area!
Frugal Fabric Sheets
Instead of using fabric sheets, take liquid fabric softener, put it in a spray bottle, and then squirt it a couple of times on an old washcloth. Throw washcloth in dryer along with your wash. This works just as well as fabric sheets!
Watch Your Savings Grow
When you deposit your paycheck, immediately deposit 10% into a special savings account. Don't touch the account and watch your savings grow.
Planting with Peanuts
Use the "packing peanuts" you get in packages as a base for repotting plants. They provide drainage and are lightweight. Crumble the peanuts and place them in the bottom of your pot, put in the potting soil of your choice and plant as usual.

Herbal Astringent
Rosemary tea is a great astringent. Boil up a few leaves in water. Cool and add to a mist bottle. After washing your face, spray lightly and allow skin to air dry.

Great tips. I am going to use that softener tip.
I never have soap slivers. I stick it on the next bar of soap. It takes a few times using it for it to stick permanently. But I never have waste.
I tried that tip about hydrogen peroxide from another set of tips and it works on more than blood stains.
