Been on on layoff for bouta week. Hadda toofache ever since. Been on the antibiotics and some lil pain pill called tramadol. The name sounds skeery. Trama. ha Anyhow, it usedta work on abcesses and kidney stones. This toofache however, aint been easy to get along with. Oragel seems ta do bout as much good as the pills. more so really. Tonight I stuffed a small handfull of whole cloves in and bit down. Dang, wudna ya know it, It works bestest of all. And dang site cheaper. Dunno why I didnt think of that before. I usedta carry cloves in my tackle box and truck just in case. Cause ya never know where a toofache will hit ya at.
Speakin of toofs, I called my dentist after much consideration and guess what? He's on vacation this whole week. Then they dunno when they can get me in.
Meybe I'll be lucky an the cloves will kill the nerve.

Hey, HB.... I lost a whole filling out of my tooth today. Just a shell now with a wide open hole. How is yours doing? Shall we make an appointment to go together and give each other some support at the dentist?

Phantom pain, I guess. I get an ache now and then where my last one was cut/dug out. Thought maybe I was imagining it. I didn't know that a nerve will eventually shrink and die like that. Cool! Mine always make me deathly ill before I make it to that point and have to be pulled. When I get the courage to go back in I am going to have this one pulled.... not going to mess with having it worked on yet again .... been filled twice, at least, now.

When I get a tooth ache it only hurts for one day. I find a dentist that ain't to busy and out it comes. Only got 4 left on the bottom and had a top plate since I turned 18. I grew up with tooth aches and abcesses and I'll be danged if I will put up with it again.I want the last four gone and a bottom plate too, but costs money and theres always someplace else it needs to go. I"m lucky though, it never hurts to have em yanked out and they never get sore, just bleed like a stuck pig for a couple of days.

Well, I'm one less a toofy. I called my regular dentist yesterday and the desk clerk said they hadnt called cause they hadnt had no cancelations. I said I woulda prolly already been seen if I hadda appointment. She flat out said, "No ya wouldnt of". So I mentioned we try an appointment. Then she said "ya know there are other Dentists." That kinda ticked me off. I wonder if her boss knows she dont care if his patients come an see him or not.
So I got my appointment for next week and called Cupcake from on here an asked who their whole family sees? She told me so I called them this mornin an the office/dest, assistant, etc gal flat out asked me why I had waited a month to get this pulled out and to be there inna hour. lol Not only did they pull the tooth but told me they hava one time a year office call charge. Anytime I go back it will be bout 35 bucks less. Needless to say I was impressed. Just wish I woulda went sooner and prolly coulda bypassed summa this pain. Think I will mention to that other office gal that she shoulda ticked me off sooner. I will call her back and prolly ask if theres anyone else onna "quick call list". Think I'll wait till monday tho. I still got my mouth fulla gauze.

Sounds like you need to stick with this new dentist! I'm glad she finally did, though. Sounds like your original dentist needs a new employee! I am sorry to hear you are all 'gauzed up' today and probably all puffy and swollen, but I am so glad that you finally have that darned tooth out. Remember, no straws, spitting, or too much salt water.... you certainly don't want a dry socket on top of it all. Here's a gentle . Don't want to bump your jaw. Hope it heals up real fast.
