Me an Mud really kicked the cats last night. He started off by catching a 24 an sum odd ounce blue. Then I caught a 24 and sum odd ounce blue. Not quite as big but close. (I was hoping) Then I hadnt even got my sinker untangled outta the net when he latched onto a 20 pound blue. Three fishies pushin near 70 pounds. An we were not prepared. Just kinda onna whim went fishin an took the lil net and no real stringers. Wound up using a tow strap and two ratchet straps for stringers. I caught a ten pounder and he caught a bouta 3 pound channel. We actually turned them two loose for lack of stringers. Mud broke his personal best yet again. Atta Boy!!!! I'll post a pics later on when I get my digital film developed.  |

We went by fore daylight an showed our friend (another Dave) just ta brag alil. He just came by my house alil while ago and showed pics of a couple thirty pounders he got today. (just ta brag alil) the Butt. He made sure ta tell me he had comfirmed pics with witnesses. hahahaha Heres the ten pounder we turned loose. Attachments:

Went again the Wed. and got these two. A ten and a seventeen. Dave gotta dink bout 3 pounds. I mite mention that the next mornin after the three 20 pounders, Dave went out and got two thirty pounders. Complete with pics and witnesses. (He just hadda outdo us) Friday (yesterday) seemed like the bite perty much stopped. Had a few bites, but nuttin very productive. Earl caught a meybe a 7 pounder. Then last evening me nor Dave could hook anything. Seems the gar are thawed out and gettin active. Also seen the first lightning bug out. Meybe them an the gar are on the same clocks. Did bout freeze my butt off yesterday tho. Cold front moved in an brought COLD air. Well, compared to 80s an 60s, it was cold. Attachments:

I been eatin so much fish, I had chicken last night and thought it was good. That dog gone Dave last night, Not only did he catch yet another 30+ pounder but he caught one of em tagged fishies and gets a $50 dollar reward. Darn his old hide, anyhow!!! |

I'll take some of that extra fish off of your hands for ya.  Catfish I had last week was farm-raised, off of the store shelf. . . . . really lacked flavor. Those sure are some nice looking fish! |
