I went crappie fishin today with Earl. (ya, same from the site) This was prolly the second time in my life I had ever targeted crappie on purpose. The other time a diff friend took me an I out fished him an he never took me again. 
Anyhow, After cleanin em. Why the heck does anyone in their right mind fish for these scrawny fish for? I mean, ya fillet em out and ya got a teeny lil ol "slab" bout the size of beef jerky. I think if I ever catch em again on purpose, I gonna fix em just like I usedta fix sunfish. Just skin em and cook em. Least ways you'd hava skillet full.
Thankfully I didnt have a limit to dress out.
Still nuttin beats a half dozen of them big ol green sunfish ta my way of thinkin. Least ways for a simple mess of scale fish.
I spect I'll keep with my catfish. Least they got meat on their bones.
