I was at some friends yesterday an they offered me some horse radish. So I took em up. They also sent some sorta Mint home with me. So I set it all out, just oustide the front step. Watered it and then the cats fertilized it for me. I dunno if it will take off or not. Been many years since I had horse radish here. It usedta come up all over the place. If not, I guess I'll have some fresh cat flavored radish. mmmmm!

mint will just about grow anywhere !! it took over my little herb garden back home. Yesterday hubby bought me some Rosemary so i planted it in my window sill. Hopefully I can keep it alive. Love rosemary chicken !!! As for your " cat raddish " you can keep it !!! It is way too hot for me !

Mmmmmm ...... I love horseradish ..... and mint. My goats actually wiped out all of my mint. Didn't think it could be done. They didn't like it, so they just kept pulling it up and spitting it out because I dared grow something they didn't like! Never have grown horseradish, but gave it some thought this year. Let us know how it does. Does different kinds of soils and weather conditions affect the heat in it like it does onions? Planted some rhubarb yesterday. Tried it before but the moles stole it just as it was getting up to a good size. My cats fertilized one of my spinach patches this year, and now it is all gone but two sprigs. I was very pleasantly surprised when I found a spot yesterday where my lemon balm (that I thought was long gone) had resurrected itself.
