Mudd and me took the canoe out last night after work. Was a great night even tho we didnt catch anything. Water was mostly still . A lil current but not enuff to matter. A full moon, and No wind. Was great I thought. At first We stopped at a nearby boat ramp to throw for bait. I says, "Thats that on the ramp?" Mudd says it was a rock. I says, " Rocks dont glow!" So I waded out an poked around and found one of em lil Coleman LED hand sized lanterns. Was still working. Then we went to another ramp and finally caught a few shad and decided to just launch from there. I grabbed a bouta eight pound rock to use for an anchor or as a drag if we caught sumpthin. Cause I wondered bout what we'd do if we did catch sumpthin big. I been hearin reports of 20's up to 40 pounders being caught not that far away. If we would have, we'd prolly still be out on the lake bein towed around. I asked Mudd if he thought we could steer a fish like ya do a horse if we could get a hook in the other side of his mouth. He said I was dreaming. ;D So anyway, not a fish to show for. but sure was a nice night on the water. Oh, and the JB Weld held up real well and didnt have a leak anywhere.

I got plenty life jackets. We took his boat last night. Its a bouta 14 foot semi V. Had ta use the same paddles. Oars woulda been nice. And it leaks. But you could stand up everso often an stretch. Still no bites. Water is dropping. Not that, that had anything to do with it. I would like ta have alittle jon boat and a good set of oars. I think it'd be good for me. I could trim alil from the front and build my back up. Get all healthy in time for a heart attack. Had one as a kid and oared all over the osage river. Well, within a mile up or down river.
