Sposta be gettin a pull type camper and two pop up campers for the hauling this week. I been on the look out for a camper for some time. And if the pop ups are beyond repair, they'll make nice trailers for the lawn mower or sumpthin. One can never have too many trailers. ;D

I had a close friend in my teenage years that had one of those pop-up campers. It was small enough that when she changed her mind as to where to set it up, the two of us could push it around by hand (or me and someone else while she was gone so that she came back trying to figure out where her camp went, lol) When that old canvas top on it finally wore completely out, we still used it, but just camped 'topless.' Sounds like you got a really good deal. I bet you will really enjoy that camping trailer.

I wudda liked to have seen that. ;D
Talked to the neighbors today and they described em to me over their cell phone. Seems the door is gone and a couple little winders broke out and said the roof looked like it had been leaking. But the floor seemed solid. They didn't look too close at the pop ups cuz of weeds an chiggers. But said one was a tandem axle. Must be a perty good sized pop up. Never heard of such I dont think. ? And the tires were all up. Now if they'll just stay up for the approx. 12 mile trip. .........

Well, got home with two of em. The last one will make a lawn mower trailer. Its perty rough. But has all the appliance stuff. The other pop up is perty rough as well. I been in it. It had the appliance stuff, too. Still in good shape. I reckon the camper is the only thing that will stay as it was intended. Not bad condition really. Floor is soft just inside the door. And a couple winders are broke. But wont be hard to fix. I think I can find another door. The appliances have been taken out for bed space. Just so happens I have a couple extra sets. I think I'll paint it camo and stick it in the woods. The neighbors showed me a 5th wheel camper and another pop up and said they'll try to contact the owners. I like the 5th wheel camper.

The cook stoves out of popup campers are awesome for frying fish. just find an old regulator and hose assembly from an old propane grill.

Spent most of today workin on a pop up. Strippin it down. That's and interesting ordeal ta say the least. Ya better have one of three kinds of screw drivers and a few wrenches and some pliers and meybe a pry bar. I dunno if this first one had been worked on before, or rebuilt, or was stuck together at the factory on a Monday with all the workers onna hangover? But there was paneling of different shades and types on the outside, under the aluminum sheeting. And wires were taped together with black tape. And ya might start off with a square bit screw driver and the next one would be a flat tip then maybe a Phillips. Or not. Dangest thing I ever seen. I'm guessing three guys put it together and each one had a pocket full of different kind of screws. I am gettin a 1000# crank wench off of it. Its what cranks the top up if it was working. A whole string of cables. Found the water tank and the pump. Now if it would only work. Gotta teeny sink and a stove top. And a switch panel with the word "suction" on it. Made me go Hmmm. Cuz I dunno what would be in there that would need suction. Found a teeny lil scorpion all dried up and some red wasps, complete with nests and attitude. And lotsa other little treasures. So I've unhooked all the telescoping square poles and think I'm bout ready to start peeling the top back. Gotta be an easier way. Be nice if either one of em would crank up. Think I'll start with the top on the next one.

Outch!! Wasp stings do hurt a might! Outside siding could go to the scales. Stoves and such could go to a flea market for sale.
