Got me one of them cheap drive way alarms from Harbor Freight. Think it was bout $15 bucks on sale. Its wireless. The outdoor sensor runs onna 9 volt battery and the receiver takes three(3) "C" batteries. Got the thing mounted to where its shielded from the road. But picks up bout everything in the drive way and yard. Vehicles, people, and goats. Thankfully the goats don't roam at night.
Anyhow, I like it!!!
I read several reviews on it before I got it. Most were in favor and several were ordering more of em. I got to concur with em. This old trailer I got, only has five winders. And not one of em are anywhere near where I spend the most of my time at. So this will be great till I can teach the goats to bark.

I wanna know when you teach the goats to bark! Sounds like a good deal. I might tell my dad about it. Can't see their driveway entrance from the house.

I have been wanting to try out one of them. Carol Wright also carries them. Course the deer at night would be knocking all the time!!

What kinda range that thing got? will it do 1/4 mile? Just wondering cause I had thought about looking into something of that type. Plenty of time to break out the welcome mat. Living back here you might think I do not get unwanted visitors, but July 4 weekend I had a couple punks come way back here. They bolted when they saw my wife . So I jumped in the truck and followed em, well, found em in someone else's driveway like 2 mins after they left my place. I took a left out of my driveway and followed a deputy sheriff to the corner, took a left (he went straight) and lo and behold here these boys were backing outta the first driveway on the rt. They were lookin for something all right, but it wasn't someone they knew. I know when folks are up to no good. When they figured out I was following em, well, that surprised em. They stopped right there in the dirt road like they were gonna do somethin, but when I started yellin at em to get outta the truck or come back to MY HOUSE they took off like the devil was after em, looked like 2 army boys really. Called the cops on em and find out I wasn't the only one they had visited that day they were busy. So a driveway beeper may be a nice thing.

Oh yeah, and goats won't bark, but are smart enough to train with sweet feed or sassafrass. Had plenty of em when I was a kid. Edible pets I reckon, 'cause we ate em all cept the really old one that got snakebit. I think with a little time you could teach em to raise a ruckus over a car comin in the yard. I got dogs now but they bark at every damn thing, mostly the cats.

Says its good for up to 400 feet. But I have my doubts. I spect it would depend alot on whether you were in a trailer or had much tween you and the transmitter. Heres the link. Says its on sale. Last month it had a coupon I think and was for bout $15 bucks. Be sure and read the reviews. If nuttin else it'd be able to give ya a lil warning fore they get to yer house. Oh and it seems to have about a 50 foot range on the sensor. Straight out in front of it. I know theres no dead spots in my forty foot wide driveway. www.harborfreight.com/wireless-driveway-alert-system-93068.htmlThey got some other stuff like cameras and such. Some night vision video cameras. I'll soon be able to tell ya bout one of them here fore long. Hopefully I wont havta run to the other end to see what made the Dinger go off.
