Today I wanted to see if it was really good to drink that much and to my suprise t helps with something I fear Kidney Stones! I dad one once about 8 years ago and do not want another. I dunno. I have always heard the cranberry juice is good for them. And one old Amish feller told me that "Cherry juice" was good to break up stones. I don't know if it helps or not. But I always drink it when I get one. And I get my share. Thankfully, I've passed everyone without Medical help. I've tried the nedical approach a couple times. Pump ya fulla dye and take X-Rays and make ya stand on yer head while they take pictures. Then tell ya, "yup, you got one over here. Well duh!!! The first one I had they pumped the IVs thru me. I figgered out I can increase the fluids just fine without their high priced bags of water. I've started collecting em inna bottle. No one can tell me I've lost my marbles. I've got em right here.

I've had several, docs told me cranberry juice is best for them. Pomogranate juice is sposed to be the best, but it's too expensive! Doc told me drink cranberry juice couple times a week and it'll help prevent the stones. I drink the cranberry-grape 3-4 times a week and haven't had a stone since I started doing that.

I never liked cranberry juice or even cranberrys but I do like most other juices! Ya keep those stones away they are a pain! My stone got stuck in my uter and was causing me pain a few times a hour for two weeks! I did not want them to try to go up and crush it with their probe! I was lucky it passed! Sometimes when men have to go and there is a small pain it is usually a small stone passing! The link I have up here is good information about the orange juice and ow it effects uric acid in the kidneys!

As far as I know I've never had one...They say that tea is bad and causes them but I drink gallons of sweet tea each week.

Oh GC if you'd had one, you'd know it! Feels like someone is taking an ice pick and sticking it in yer kidney area and lower back, everytime ya move it's like you got pinched by a huge ole crab pincher, can't sit, can't stand, can't lie down without it's hurting. I seemed to be getting them when I took Advil for my arthritis. When I switched to something else, didn't get em anymore. I drink tea more than coffee, hot and cold. Don't seem to be bothered by that.

Kidney stones that are very large stay in the kidney and cause pain when they get close to the uter entrance but usually never come out. They do distroy the kidney since most are very shap. The little ones like I had start down the uter and get stuck. I was very sick at first and actually called the ambulance since I did know know what was wrong. It bothered me for a week and I had to lay down and it would go away! The small ones are no larger than 1/2 a bb but they have like jagged edges that dig in and are hard to pass! The big ones are usually smashed by untra sound or what ever method that is needed even operations! I know I never want one again it was very painful! They gave me the white stuff totake for the exray and it showed it stuck several inches down from my left kidney! I know a guy that gets them twice a year!

Just imagine trying to pass a cocklebur from yer kidneys to yer wee wee. That just about sums it up.
